I have tried probably near 100 times to get my dear husband to succumb to my sweet request to be a stay-at-home wife! But, he keeps saying, "No." Like we have bills to pay or something... (haha...I know my request is a joke, but a girl can dream can't she?!).
In my head, it all works out. See right now, Dustin works more hours than I do, so I take care of most of the house responsibilities (but he's a wonderful help). So if I was a stay-at-home wife...How I see it is: I do not just clean the house, it sparkles. There would never be a hair or dust bunny floati
ng through the house. I don't just make meals, I learn how to rival those ladies in Southern Living Magazine. I don't just do the yard work...I destroy every weed on our property, the flowers bloom (yes, even in winter), and the garden always produces something. Then with all my extra free time (insert laugh)...I visit small group friends, do marriage counseling with Dustin, help at the church, work out (maybe....okay, that too), and have time to finish my book and write for Christian Magazines.HAHA...seriously, I think the job of being the "perfect" house wife might be more difficult then my job! So, for now I guess I'll keep my day job, and maybe one day the Lord will bless us with a little one that I can stay home with. Though I know, when babies come, there will be no time to worry about making the house sparkle or creating spectacular meals! But, I will do my best!
So, this post is to say...don't abandon this blog yet. I have so much to post on here: Christmas, Converting Hearts, our 5th Anniversary trip to Pigeon Forge, Family and Friends visit, hard times, good times....etc. So, keep hanging on and soon I should have those posts...posted. Have a great day and may you give all honor and glory to the Lord!
Ha! I love it! I have these same dreams and moments of envisioning a perfect house. I can't blame mine on work, just on this piggy tummy that prevents me from being that sparkling cleaner you refer to :). I'm just so blessed to have a friend like you that I can totally laugh with... even if it is through our blogs!
