SURPRISE!! The Nally’s are going from the Nally Trio to
Nally Quartet at the end of June!
"A WHAT?! Quartet...what's that mean?"
There’s nothing more exciting than surprising
friends and family with the news of a pregnancy! For us, our pregnancy is again
unconventional as our baby grows in our hearts in another woman’s womb. And we
are rejoicing!
One week after Jaden's adoption finalized we received a surprise call from an agency in Florida that our profile was INACTIVE with. WHAT?! Yup, God must be up to something! On December 28th, we were asked to be a precious little baby's parents...a baby that was without a hope and future. A baby that desperately needs a mommy and daddy. This situation was so dark, that neither biological parent is involved with the legalities.
Absolutely BLOWN away with surprise (and humbled) that our Great Father would choose Dustin and I, again, to love a child from darkness to light. Seriously, we weren't even preparing for a second adoption right now! Yup, God must be up to something!
After much prayer and giving our fears to the Lord, we said, "YES!"
I'll share the whole story in the next post!
You may think adoption is wonderful because a vetted couple
finally “gets” a child. Yes, God fulfilled our intense longing to be parents
through adopting Jaden, but adoption is so much more….
Baby #2 tells this
story. And we need you to hear what
he or she has to say. (And since this little one is too small to speak, we’ll
be his/her voice).
Dustin and I have always had a heart for adoption and thought it would be part of our story. We
believe God’s command in James 1:27 to care for the orphans by saving them out
of darkness and bringing them into the light of a Christ-centered family, truly
given them a hope and a future (as Christ did for us!). However, it wasn’t
until the birth of our beloved son, watching him grow, learning more about
adoption statistics, and writing a book on adoption that our hearts were
transformed BY adoption.
A quote that resonates with us almost daily says, “My
friends, adoption is redemption. It’s costly, exhausting, expensive, and
outrageous. Buying back lives cost so much. When God set out to redeem us, it
killed him.”
Think about it, when Jesus hung on that cross to buy back our
lives He was spit upon, abandoned, and hated. Buying us cost Him Everything. He. Owned... including His life. It wasn’t a pretty or comfortable picture. Adoption
is quite possibly the greatest way we as humans can show the watching world
God’s act of redemption for us. The situations aren’t pretty and it’s not
comfortable! Baby #2 is another hard situation, just like Jaden’s adoption, yet
totally different (I’ll explain in a moment).
So...by June we are praying God miraculously prepares the way for this precious life both financially and emotionally! Please pray for us and visit our BRINGING HOME BABY website to learn more!
MUCH more to come...Please journey with us these next five to six months as we take this next ADVENTURE!
